Miami Swim Week 2018

For fashion lovers in Miami, it’s one of the most talked about weeks in the year: Miami Swim Week.

While the fashion following in Miami has not yet picked up and isn’t remotely comparable to NYC fashion week, it‘s still an exciting week here in the city.

Opening night was Thursday. I attended the art hearts fashion shows at the Faena Forum! And what a beautiful way to start the week! Opening the show was one of my favorite designers, Hale Bob; however, I unfortunately arrived fashionably late and only got a quick glimpse of the closing! Luckily for me, there was much more in store! The show, over all, was a very entertaining mix of sexy and sweet.

Candice Cuco’s, a Project Runway finalist, edgy looks were a shoe-in to steal the show. I loved how different all of her looks were! They were styled and accessorized in such a unique way, reminding everyone present what fashion is really all about.

Friday night was a very special show for me. As some of you may know, I am currently working for a brand called Eberjey. And this was our first time ever participating in swim week. We teamed up with Style Saves, which is an organization that helps raise money for underprivileged students across Miami Dade. This remarkable organization began just based on an idea to unite fashion and philanthropy.

The event, which took place in South Beach’s beloved Setai hotel, showcased Eberjey’s SS19 collection inspired by classic costal escapes and romantic summer getaways that follow the allure of the show! Sounds inspired by the french Rivera set the mood for the show provoking a seductive french vibe for all the models to strut it down the catwalk. Models from all over including Juliana Aguiar, Karen Soto, and Alexa Selvaggia walked in the show.

It goes without saying it was one unbelievable night.
